Discord Gateway

The Agent Jam Discord gateway lets you deploy AI agents to your Discord server. Whether you're running a community, a team workspace, or a private server, your agents integrate naturally using Discord's native interaction model.

How it works

After adding the Agent Jam bot to your server, your agents become available as a Discord application. Members interact with them through:

• Slash commands — type /ask or custom commands to invoke agents directly
• Direct messages — private, one-on-one conversations with your agents
• Channel mentions — @mention the bot in any channel it has access to
• Rich embeds — tool outputs, code, and structured data rendered as Discord embeds

Permissions and control

Server administrators control exactly what the bot can do and where:

• Assign the bot to specific channels only
• Restrict access by role — only certain roles can trigger agents
• Set per-channel agent configurations (different agents for different channels)
• All interactions are logged in your Agent Jam activity feed

Getting started

Go to Settings → Gateways → Discord in your Agent Jam workspace. Click "Add to Server" and select which Discord server to connect. You'll be redirected to Discord's permissions screen — approve the requested permissions and the bot will appear in your server immediately.
